Many people take CBD oil for stress relief, anxiety, to aid sleep, and to reduce blood pressure. Whilst CBD oil doesn’t have the side effects of conventional medication, it’s effects can be more subtle.

To bolster the positive effects of CBD oil, many people turn to meditation. CBD oil and meditation are a GRREAT combination!

For thousands of years meditation has been proven to help calm the body and mind. This has many knock on health benefits – from stress relief, reducing anxiety, helping sleep, reducing blood pressure – to strengthening your immune system and increasing longevity.

Meditation is a way of clearing your mind of thought, and allowing it to “just be”. In modern life our minds are often over loaded with many stresses. You may have a stressful job, have financial difficulties, demanding children, car breaks down etc.

In the past, hunter gatherers didn’t have these problems. Yes they may have occasionally feared for their safety when chased by a predator, but these situations are resolved quickly (one way or another!).

Modern stresses might seem trivial compared to being chased by a wild bear, but your mind doesn’t know this. You are not programmed to handle modern stress. Our minds think that when our car breaks down and we’re late for work, that we’re in mortal danger.

And the problem with modern life is that we get these stresses ALL THE TIME!

They build, up over days, weeks, months, and even years. Can I afford to pay my mortgage? Will that leak in my roof get worse? Will I be made redundant from my job? Etc.

Meditation gets easier the more you do it. It can be difficult at first to sit still and “just be”. Many people NEVER truly relax.

I am a clinical hypnotherapist by trade. (If you want, check out my website called HypnoBusters).

I make hypnotherapy recordings. I also make meditation recordings to help guide people who aren’t accustomed to meditating.

I have made a free meditation recording which became very popular on YouTube. If you need help relaxing, or want to try out meditation, then give it a go.

Get yourself comfortable, either seated or led down. And make sure you won’t be disturbed for at least 20 minutes. Then hit play on the video below. Enjoy!
